Description

Juan Polvillo’s artistic background surpasses twenty years of academic and choreographic studies, with famous flamenco masters, such as: Farruco, Manolo Marín, Manolete, La Toná, and Matilde Coral. Some of his achievements in the flamenco world include:

- First Place, by Sevillanas, Premio Enrique el Cojo Price, Sevilla, Spain, 1990
- First Place, by Tarantos, Premio Festival Flamenco de Ubrique Price, Cádiz, Spain, 1991
- First Place, by Alegrías, Premio Festival Flamenco de San Pedro de Alcántara Price, Málaga, Spain, 1992
- Second place by Tarantos, Premio Festival internacional de las minas, La Unión. Spain, 2004.

He danced at the Bienal de Flamenco (Sevilla, Spain), in two occasions. In 1997 he went on tour through the Netherlands and Belgium as the first dancer for the Fiesta Gitana de Curro Vélez Flamenco Group, with artists like Carmen Montoya and La Coneja. He has danced in many countries, for personalities like King Hussein of Jordan, King Hassan II of Morocco, the King and Queen of Spain, George Bush, former president of the United States of America, and Pope John Paul II. He has also ventured in movies: Carlos Saura’s “Sevillanas” and “Montoyas y Tarantos”.

Dance Choreography with guitarist.

TANGOS (LEVEL 1): Suitable for beginner to elementary level.

SOLEA POR BULERIAS (LEVEL 2): Suitable for those with experience and wish to progress to a higher level.

BULERIAS (LEVEL 2-3): Suitable for those with experience in flamenco dance.

ALEGRIAS (LEVEL 3): Choreography with a high level of technique.

1. No transfer and no refund, unless the workshop is cancelled.
2. Full payment must be made immediately upon confirmation of course(s).
3. The presenter reserves the right to change the date, time, venue and palos.
4. No photography or video recording inside the workshop, unless permitted by the presenter.
5. Any visitors or musicians without permit will be (kindly) asked to leave.
6. The presenter reserves the right to accept or decline any registration.
